Vintage Royal Staffordshire TONQUIN BLUE by Clarice Cliff Cream And Sugar Bowl Set. This lovely traditional transfer ware pattern was designed by Clarice Cliff, Royal Staffordshire’s iconic art director, in 1945 and was intended for the international market. The creamer measures 5 3/8 inches spout to handle and has an approximate 3 1/2 inch diameter. The covered sugar bowl is 6 3/4 inches wide handle to handle, 4 1/2” tall including lid and has a 4 1/2 inch diameter. Both pieces are in good vintage condtion, the sugar bowl shows crazing and light staining, the creamer has a chip on the foot. No additional chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.
