Own a piece of Provençal heritage with this charming set of 3 vintage Santon de Provence terracotta clay figurines, crafted in the heart of France’s folk art tradition. Santons, meaning “little saints”, are a traditional product of the Provence region of southeastern France and are used in crèche scenes as well as depicting everyday village life. Our delightful pieces depict old women in detailed and colorful traditional attire. One of them comes from the workshop of Claude Carbonel, another was made by Sylvette Amy and the third by Santons Escoffier. Two of them are 10 1/2” tall and one measures 8”, all three are in very good, clean vintage condition without chips, cracks, holes, tears or strong odors. Two have lost original accessories and the flower basket that remains has a damaged handle.
